The Estevan Bruins Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce the acquisition of Ward Szucki from the Battleford’s Stars.
“I’m looking forward to playing in Estevan. They had a talented young team last season, so I’m looking to step in add some experience. With the new arena in Estevan, it’s going to be nice to be part of their new tradition. I bring a physical style of play but I also have a bit of a scoring touch. Szucki, a 6’3”, native of Neepawa, Manitoba, notched 19 goals and added 12 assists through 51 games for the Stars last season. The power forward adds size and grit to the Bruins. Szucki comes to the Bruins to complete a trade made with the Stars last season.
“Ward is a strong power forward who likes to go to the tough areas on the ice. He will add a lot of size and strength to our front end. He’s a tough competitor who helps push his team on and off the ice.
