The Estevan Bruins have are pleased to announce the acquisition of 1990-born forward Troy Hunter from the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
Hunter was ninth in scoring on for the Kings team that finished recently competed at the RBC Cup national junior A championship tournament. The six-foot-two, 200-plus pound forward had 32 points in 56 regular-seasons for Dauphin while adding 100 minutes in penalties.

The trade for Hunter stems from the Bruins sending forward Devin Mitzner to the Kings in exchange for future considerations.
“The move to bring Troy into the fold is one that we are very excited about. He brings a big body presence for us up front, can score goals and doesn’t shy away from the physical game. He brings a veteran leadership to our dressing room and is the type of guy that can step up when he’s needed. He’s a proven winner, and will look to that experience to help guide our team.
