BRUINS OPEN SEASON IN WEYBURN ON SEPTEMBER 13TH
Let the countdown to the 2019/20 SJHL Regular Season begin!!!
The SJHL officially released the schedule for the upcoming season on July 4th, with each team playing 58 games between September 13th and March 3rd.
The Estevan Bruins will begin the franchise’s 62nd season in hostile territory, up Highway 39 against their long-standing arch rival: the Weyburn Red Wings. It’s the first time in several years that the Bruins will not open up the season against the Melville Millionaires.
While the Bruins are in Weyburn on Friday, Sept. 13th, there will not be a home-and-home series to begin the year. In fact, the Bruins home opener will see fans fill Affinity Place on Tuesday, Sept. 17th against another division rival: the Yorkton Terriers at 7:00pm.
