The Estevan Bruins annual Jersey Auction has returned!
Every year, the Carson Safety Services’ 3rd Jerseys are auctioned off on the final day of the Bruins regular season. This year, the auction will be held and closes on Saturday, February 29th when the Bruins host the Weyburn Red Wings at Affinity Place.
The online auction is now LIVE and will run until 11:59pm (CST) on February 29th. The online portion will be shut down during the game from 6:00pm – 11:00pm. Bid sheets will be available at the Bruins – Weyburn game as people can make bids in person. As well, six players will have their 3rd Jerseys auctioned off live during the 1st and 2nd intermission of the game.
This year’s jerseys to be live auctioned are: #2 – Austin King-Cunningham, #10 – Jayden Davis, #11 – Kade McMillen, #22 – Griffin Asham-Moroz, #27 – Isaiah Thomas, #35 – Keenan Rancier.
The other players 3rd jerseys, along with six framed jerseys, can be bid on in person during the February 29th game or online. When the online bidding resumes at 11:00pm on February 29th, bids made at the game will be updated and reflected online so everyone knows the updated leading bids. Then bids will be accepted for one more hour until the clock strikes midnight, at which point the leading bids will be awarded each jersey.
Any bids timestamped online showing 12:00am or later on March 1st will NOT be admitted.
100% of the proceeds from the Jersey Auction will support the Estevan Bruins Education Fund. The Education Fund supports former Estevan Bruins players who pursue post-secondary education following their junior hockey career.
