The Estevan Bruins are proud to announce 2006-born defenceman Jagden Taylor has committed to play for the team in the 2023/24 SJHL season.
Taylor (6’2, 180lbs) is playing his second year with the Regina Pat Canadiens U18AAA. Taylor is a defensive-minded blue liner who uses his size, hockey sense, and stick to disrupt other team’s top scorers. His presence has been key for a Regina team that is poised for a deep playoff run after finishing 2nd overall in the SMAAAHL standings with a record of 32-6-5.
“I think Estevan will be a great place for me to grow and develop, and I’m excited to start my junior career and couldn’t have picked a better place than the Estevan Bruins.” – Jagden Taylor
“Jagden has played a few games for us this season and he looked very comfortable out there as a 2006 birth year,” commented Head Coach & General Manager Jason Tatarnic. “Taylor competes very hard and we are very excited that he will be joining us next season. We feel we have added a very good piece on our back-end.”
Taylor’s play has already earned him a call-up to the Bruins in 3 regular season games this past season, on the road in Flin Flon, Humboldt and Melville. Against the Millionaires, Taylor picked up an assist for his first SJHL point. With Regina this season, Taylor has 1 goal and 4 assists for 5 points in 37 games to go along with 44 PIM.
