The SJHL & RBC have partnered up once again to spotlight 12 players as ‘RBC Community Ambassadors’, one for each of the 12 teams in the league.
This season, Aleksa Babic has been chosen as the representative from the Estevan Bruins. The third-year defenceman has become a fan favourite in Estevan for both his quality of play on the ice and for his dedicated commitment to the community of Estevan.
”Every chance I get to be involved in the community, I take it.” said Babic. “I’m very grateful for what we have here and the type of support our team gets.”
“ So anytime there’s a chance for me to step out and give back to the community, I jump out it right away.”
With the honour comes a $1,000 donation to the local community. Babic will also now go up against the other 11 RBC Community Ambassadors in a vote later this year to determine the SJHL’s Community Ambassador which would come with an additional donation to the community.
