One of the most enjoyable annual fundraisers for the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins returns on Saturday, February 2nd: the Calcutta Shootout!
The club has revamped some of the rules and increased the amount of payouts for the 2018/19 Calcutta Shootout, which will be held immediately following the home game against the Weyburn Red Wings.
There will be 29 total bid sheets available during the game until bidding ends at the beginning of the 3rd period. That includes 20 Bruins shooters, 3 ‘Team Staff’ shooters, and 6 bidding categories for the two Bruins goaltenders.
If bidding on a goaltender, fans will have the option of bidding on each goaltender having a Save Percentage (Sv%): Above .900, Between .800 – .900, and Below .800. At the end of the shootout, the save percentages for each goaltender will be calculated and the person with the winning bid in that save percentage category will win.
For the shooters, there will be a winner for three categories: 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place.
