The Estevan Bruins have added leadership, toughness, skill and championship pedigree all at once after acquiring forward Quintin Loon-Stewardson (’00) from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs (BCHL) in exchange for a Player Development Fee (PDF).
Loon-Stewardson joins the Bruins after being acquired by the Bulldogs in the offseason. Loon-Stewardson played the last two years with the Battlefords North Stars, winning the SJHL championship in 18/19 posting 19 PTS in 16 playoff games. In 2019-20, Loon-Stewardson finished better than a point-per-game with 55 PTS (30G, 25A) in 53GP and 168 PIM for the first place North Stars.
“Loon-Stewardson is a proven winner in the SJHL and has shown the ability to score goals and competes very hard. He makes us stronger in the middle and we know he’s excellent in the faceoff circle. He’s definitely a big part of the puzzle and we feel he will fit in nicely with our group. We look forward to his arrival next week.” – Jason Tatarnic, Head Coach/GM
