The Estevan Bruins have added another forward to the roster as the first weekend of the SJHL regular season has wrapped up.

The Bruins’ have signed Kade Runke (’02) off the roster of the WHL’s Moose Jaw Warriors. Runke (5’11, 185lbs) spent the last two seasons with the Warriors putting up 6 PTS (3G, 3A) and 16 PIM in 70GP. Runke previously played with the Eastman Selects (MMHL), where he tallied 63PTS (23G, 40A) and 50 PIM in 48GP.

“We are very happy to add Kade Runke to our group as he will add speed and skill to our lineup. Kade can play centre or wing so it gives us depth in both positions. He’s a strong kid that we believe will do very well at our level and we look forward to inserting him into our lineup this weekend.”

Runke has joined the Estevan Bruins at practice this week and is expected to play in the two road games against Melville (Friday) and Weyburn (Saturday) this weekend.
