Bruins Drop Both Games At SJHL Showcase In Warman

THE BRUINS’ LOST 4-2 TO KINDERSLEY AND 6-2 TO HUMBOLDT ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

The Legends Centre in Warman was not kind to the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins during the 2018 SJHL Showcase as the black-and-gold dropped both games at this year’s league-wide marquee event.

The Bruins fell to the Kindersley Klippers 4-2 in a tightly-played contest on Monday evening, then followed it up with a slow start and a 6-2 defeat in their second game against the Humboldt Broncos on Tuesday afternoon.

The losses were the first two of the season for the Estevan Bruins, who entered the showcase undefeated in their first three games.

The SJHL Showcase is an annual four-day event for the league, to highlight their teams and players to scouts from Canadian and American colleges and universities, as well as a few from professional hockey organizations.
