Bruins flex muscles, take series lead on Hounds

The Estevan Bruins are beginning to take control of their first-round playoff series with the Notre Dame Hounds.

The Bruins never trailed on Tuesday night and dominated the third period on their way to a 6-1 win in Game 3 in Wilcox.

Estevan now leads the series 2-1.

Eric Pearce scored twice, while the Olivier Pouliot human highlight reel continued with an end to end goal in the third period.

Kade Runke, Mitch Kohner, and Caelan Fitzpatrick also scored for Estevan. Nikolas Sombrowski had the only goal for Notre Dame.

Game 4 goes Thursday night in Wilcox.
