The Eagle Sky Estevan Bruins are pleased to announce 20-year-old forward and alternate captain, Hayden Pimm has committed to Neumann University in Aston, Pennsylvania for the 2025-26 season.
Pimm said the commitment means a lot, as going on to play post-secondary has always been something he’s set out to work towards, since his earliest days of competitive hockey.
“It was definitely a goal of mine, ever since I was probably about Bantam or Midget, and I made the commitment that I wanted to go to school for hockey and also become a student athlete, so it’s awesome when you hit your goals and I’m very thankful and really happy,” Pimm said.
“I’m really fortunate to have a great organization behind me and a great University that I’m going to,” he continued. “It’s right outside Philadelphia, about 20-25 minutes, and they had my program. I want to be a teacher and they had a great secondary education program and a hockey program with some great coaches, so it was just an ideal fit and I’m really excited for the next step in my hockey career.”
In his first season with the Bruins Pimm has been a natural fit with the team, registering 10 points (five goals, five assists) in 38 games while centering one of the team’s go-to energy lines. While on the ice his brash physicality and truculent playstyle has set the tone for his team, away from the rink, Pimm’s enthusiasm and focus on volunteering earned him the team’s RBC Community Ambassador title.

Prior to joining the Bruins, Pimm played 82 career junior games, split between the Swan Valley Stampeders of the MJHL, Wellington Dukes of the OJHL and Campbell River Storm of the VIJHL.
The Neumann University Knights compete in the NCAA Div III Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC). This season, the team sits third in the MAC with a 12-5-2-0-1-0 record.
Pimm and his Bruins’ teammates will return to action this weekend for back-to-back games at Affinity Place, against the Notre Dame Hounds Friday, and Nipawin Hawks Saturday. Both games will be available on FloHockey and for free on the Bruins’ Official YouTube Livestream. The Room By Room Furniture Pregame Show will begin both nights at 6:45 p.m. with puck drop to follow at 7 p.m.
