A Look at the Numbers

The Bruins enter the weekend fourth in the Viterra Division and 10th overall in the SJHL standings with a 17-30-7 record. Looking to bounce back quickly from a heartbreaking shootout loss to Notre Dame Wednesday, the team will be looking to finish the year strong over their last two games.

Having already clinched the division and the third seed overall, the team will be looking to build on a big 3-2 win Tuesday over Humboldt in a probable first-round preview, as the team preps for what they hope to be a lengthy playoff run this spring.

Players to Watch

Red Wings’ forward Jarome Maharaj enters the weekend fresh off a three-point performance (1G, 2A) versus Humboldt earlier in the week. The slick playmaker’s vision has seen him set the standard for puck distributers this season, with a league-high 49 assists, sitting tied for fifth in overall points with 64 in 49 games this season.

Bruins’ centerman, Ewan Rennie has been quietly rocketing his way up the scoring charts, sitting tied for 10th in league scoring heading into the weekend, with 52 points (18G, 34A) through 54 games.
