Bruins punch ticket to SJHL finals after sweep of Terriers

The Estevan Bruins are on their way to the SJHL finals.

The Bruins beat the Yorkton Terriers 7-2 Thursday night, sweeping the best of seven series 4-0.

Bruins captain Eric Houk led the way, scoring his first goal of the playoffs and adding three assists.

Goaltender Boston Bilous was very sharp, making 30 saves.

The Bruins organization has unfinished business in the league finals dating back to 2018, when they lost a heartbreaker to the Nipawin Hawks in seven games.

Estevan now awaits the winner of the Flin-Flon Humboldt series.

The SJHL finals will begin on Friday April 22 with Game 1 at Affinity Place.
