Bruins Raise $3,500 To United Way Estevan At Home Games

The Estevan Bruins pride themselves on being #YourCommunityTeam, and backed it up with a large donation from multiple fundraisers held since the start of the 2021/22 season.

The United Way Estevan held their annual Telethon on October 15th & 16th and the organization raised $359,347 in 33 hours for multiple community service groups and organizations. The Estevan Bruins fans directly, and through support from the team’s corporate sponsors, were able to fundraise $3,500 for the Telethon.

It began with the Season Opener on September 24th, where the Game Sponsor MNP hosted a pregame tailgate BBQ where fans could donate what they wanted to the United Way. That BBQ raised almost $1,200.

The Bruins also collected donations through selling ‘Helping Hands’ at multiple home games and a raffle of Bruins’ merchandise, raising just over $550.

Then at the ‘United Way Game’ on October 15th, the Estevan Bruins hosted a Jersey Auction featuring Estevan’s own Brayden Pachal who donated a signed and framed jersey with his current AHL team: the Henderson Silver Knights. The jersey was auctioned off for $950 to F&L Concrete. As well, Top Torque Services stepped up and stated that they would donate $200 for every Bruins’ goal scored that night, and raised $800 for the Telethon in the Bruins’ 5-4 loss.

The Estevan Bruins’ congratulate the United Way Estevan on surpassing their fundraising goal, and were proud to help donate to the cause!
