Bruins return from Showcase

The early season struggles continue for the Estevan Bruins.

Estevan dropped their fourth straight game Wednesday afternoon, losing 3-1 to the Nipawin Hawks in a game in which the Bruins simply could not stay out of the penalty box.

Nipawin built a 3-0 lead through two periods. Bruins forward Cody Davis got Estevan on the board in the third, but that was as close as they would come.

The Bruins return home from the SJHL Showcase having lost both games at the annual neutral site event. Estevan lost 5-4 to the Humboldt Broncos Tuesday night.

The Weyburn Red Wings will pay a visit to Affinity Place this Friday. The Bruins have not played a home game since the season opener back on Sept. 16, a stretch of two weeks.
