Bruins Shoot Down Melville in Home Game

The Estevan Bruins scored a couple more power play goals on Sunday night on their way to a 9-3 thrashing of the Melville Millionaires.

After scoring three power play goals in their win on Saturday, the Bruins added two more power play goals on Sunday. Their penalty kill was also perfect again, killing off all four Millionaire power plays.

The offence was spread around, with linemates Zach Burfoot and Eric Houk each scoring twice. Alex Von Sprecken, Eric Pearce, Keagon Little, Caelan Fitzpatrick, and Kade Runke also each scored once.

Goaltender Cam Hrdlicka won again in net, his thirteenth victory of the year. Starter Boston Bilous remains sidelined with the stomach flu.

The Bruins improve to 6-0 against Melville this season and pull to within two points of the Humboldt Broncos for first place with games still in hand.

Estevan will host Nipawin on Wednesday night at Affinity Place.
