Four members of the Estevan Bruins made the hour-long drive east of Estevan on Tuesday, December 10th to see the old stomping grounds of defenceman Kade McMillen…and to practice with the Carievale Storm atom team…our ‘Carson Safety Services – Minor Hockey Team of the Month’!
Each month, one lucky minor team in Estevan or southeast Saskatchewan is chosen as the Team of the Month. Part of the honour includes a practice with members of the Bruins, and with Kade McMillen’s hometown team being the lucky winners…the 19-year-old was happy to join Troy Hamilton, Caleb Petrie and Tanner Manz at the skate.
There were plenty of smiles to go around during the skate, with the youngsters trying to dangle around their idols during drills and the scrimmage at the end of practice.
Afterwards, each player was given tickets for them and their immediate family to attend this Friday’s home game against the Kindersley Klippers in Estevan. During the game, the team will also get to tour the Bruins’ dressing room, meet all the players, and will enjoy a Tower Pizza party during the 1st intermission!
Congratulations to the Carievale Storm atom team, and good luck in the rest of your season!
