Zach Burns scored the game winner midway through the third period as the Estevan Bruins outlasted the Yorkton Terriers 5-4 Saturday night in Yorkton.
Burns was able to redirect a Nolan Jones point shot past Terrier netminder Kael DePape and into the net. He said after the game the puck hit him in the arm before going in.
Mark Rumsey and Mikol Sartor each had two points, while Mitch Kohner and Caelan Fitzpatrick also scored for Estevan.
Goaltender Boston Bilous made 22 saves in the victory.
The Bruins are alone in first place in the SJHL, two points ahead of the Humboldt Broncos.
Estevan will play their third game in three days Sunday afternoon against the Notre Dame Hounds.
