Kent Moors scored a goal and delivered the shootout winner, and Ben Polhill stopped 29-of-32 between the pipes, to lead the Bruins to a 4-3 shootout victory over the Notre Dame Hounds Friday night in Carlyle.

A 1-1 game at the end of two periods and 3-3 score at the end of regulation, the game remained tight throughout the night, with veterans Michael Carter and Ewan Rennie also pitching in a goal apiece for the black and gold.

In the shootout, Moors’ tally was the lone shot to beat either goaltender, as Polhill and Hounds’ netminder Spencer Borsos were both perfect the rest of the way, the latter after facing 50 Bruins’ shots on the night.

With the victory, Estevan has now won three straight and improve to 8-9-3 through 20 games. The Bruins will return to action on home ice Saturday night as the team looks to stay hot against the division rival Red Wings, reigniting the Highway 39 Rivalry at Affinity Place.

Saturday’s game will be available on FloHockey and for free on the Bruins’ Official YouTube Livestream. The Room By Room Pregame Show will begin at 6:45 p.m. with puck drop to follow at 7 p.m.
