Leave it to the ‘Best Pizza In Saskatchewan’ to help raise money for the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins.
During the month of November, Bruins players were out in the community every Monday delivering pizza from the Tower Cafe across Estevan. Fans were able to see some of their favourite players come to their door with supper, and the team received $5 from every pizza delivery made.
In total, 205 pizzas were delivered in a 12-hour period by Bruins players which raised a total of $1,025 for the Bruins Education Fund.
Pete Seregella and the staff at the Tower were happy to work with the players and find a unique way to donate to both the team and the players themselves. The promotion has received universally-positive feedback and may make a return before the end of the regular season.
The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins player Education Fund supports all players who have played for the team and since moved on to post-secondary education. For every year of service with the team, each player has $1,000 allocated to them to assist them with schooling.
