The Estevan Bruins have traded 19-year-old forward Mason Smith (’02) to the Portage Terriers for a player development fee.
Smith (6’1, 185lbs) joined the Bruins as a rookie during the COVID-shortened season in 2020/21, putting up a pair of assists in 2 GP. This season, Smith tallied 2 assists in 11 GP.
The move comes after the Bruins also traded forward Antoine St. Onge (’02) to the Notre Dame Hounds and after the Bruins’ acquired Jamie Valentino (’02) from the Swan Valley Stampeders.
