Inspired by organizations from rural communities and similar programs within the SJHL itself, the Estevan Bruins are embarking on a new agricultural fundraiser for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
With help of local farmers and AG suppliers, the Bushels for Bruins was initiated with two fundraising components:
One, the organization rented 160 acres of land to develop crops for the purpose of resale. With the expert opinions of Estevan’s Richardson Pioneer team, inputs and suppliers were organized to prep and seed our recently rented land. With the gracious support of community farming families, the crop will be maintained and with a favorable summer, a strong crop will be waiting for us at harvest time.

Secondly, the Bruins have set up accounts across Southeast Saskatchewan elevators for the purpose of crop donations. Farmers and other AG organizations can donate to Bruins accounts as they bring in their fruitful crops.
In return, the Bruins provide season tickets and event passes to the upcoming 2025-2026 season along with a commemorative AG Bruins Jersey.
Both these initiatives will hopefully provide the organization new resources to put back into our players, our events, and our community. Keep your eye out for specific appreciation posts to those who have been involved with both initiatives. As well as updates from Bruno the Bear on the crops progress. We appreciate everyone’s support and look forward to the 2025-2026 season.
Go Bruins, Go!
