Estevan Rivalry Continues with Another Win Against Redwings

The Bruins would open the scoring on the Redwings with only a minute left in the first period at 19:00 on the clock. Mitch Kohner #23 getting his first goal of the season as he recently joined the Estevan Bruins not to long ago. He was assisted by Eric Pearce #11 and Erik Hauk #17.

The Bruins built on that lead a little late in the 2nd period as at the 14:54, Eric Houk would rip a goal in this time assister my Mitch Kohner. This would take us into the end of the 2nd period with a comforting 2-0 in favor of the Bruins.

That remained the score until early in the 3rd period, when Bruins’ Kade Runke #18 top shelfed one unassisted letting us sit more comfortable with a 3-0 lead. The goal was scored against Weyburn at 3:38. A few mere minutes later Keagon Little scored assisted by Mark Rumsey and Alex Von Sprecken at 7:06. Unfortunately that would be the last goal scored by the Bruins that evening.

The Weyburn Redwings would score less than 30 seconds later at 7:32 by Cooper Chisholm, assisted by Sam Skillested. The Redwings would score yet again at 9:43 by Sebastian Hamming, assisted by Ethan Clements.

The final period saw the most goals by both teams as well as the most penalties, as there were a few accounts of roughing, holding, and interference from both the teams. In the end the Estevan Bruins won the game with a confident 4-0.

The Bruins take to the ice again on January 27, 2022 against the Yorkton Terriers at Affinity place. Puck drops at 7pm.
