Another game, another win for the Estevan Bruins, who continue to roll along in the month of October.

The Bruins won their seventh straight game Friday night in Kindersley, beating the offensively-challenged Klippers 3-0.

Bruins goaltender Cam Hrdlicka was simply outstanding, making 37 saves for his first shutout of the season. The Calgary native has been in the net for every Bruins win this season and has started the last nine games.

American-born forward Sal Collora, who just joined Estevan earlier this month, snapped a scoreless tie midway through the second period. His marker would stand up as the game winner. Cody Davis added an insurance marker on a shorthanded breakaway in the third period before Mitch Kohner iced the game with an empty netter.

The Estevan Bruins lengthy winning streak came to an abrupt halt Saturday night in North Battleford.

The Bruins were beaten 7-3 by the Battlefords North Stars, which snapped the Bruins win streak at seven games.

Forward Holden Doell had a hat-trick and four points for the Stars.

Bruins goaltender Cam Hrdlicka was pulled in the second period. Estevan native Jackson Miller came on in relief.

The Stars had suffered only their first loss of the season on Friday, and remain undefeated in regulation through the first month of the season.

Estevan now sits at 8-7 and will have a few days off before travelling to Melfort next weekend.
