An absolutely stellar month of goaltending from Keenan Rancier has been recognized with the SJHL’s monthly awards.
The Estevan Bruins’ netminder has been named as the ‘Goalie-of-the-Month’ for October 2019 after posting some of the best individual numbers across the league despite his team unable to pile up the wins.
Rancier (’00) started nine games in October with a personal record of (4-4-1) with a 2.21 G.A.A. and a .933 SV% including a shutout on October 5th (3-0 vs Nipawin).
For the season, the Victoria, BC native has a 2.26 G.A.A. (2nd SJHL) and a .931 SV% (2nd SJHL) and a personal (5-7-2-1) in 15 appearances, tied for the most games played in the SJHL.
Rancier is in his first season with the Bruins after joining the club in an offseason trade with the BCHL’s Prince George Spruce Kings.
