The Estevan Bruins are proud to announce the return of another defenceman from the shortened 2020-21 SJHL season.
Nolan Jones (’01) has committed to play for the Bruins’ for the 2021-22 season after playing 5 GP in Estevan before returning to the Moose Jaw Warriors for the WHL Hub Season played in Regina. Jones tallied 2 PTS (1G, 1A) including the game-winning goal in an opening night victory over Melville last season, and added 32 PIM as well.
In the WHL, Jones (6’2, 180lbs) played parts of 4 seasons (and 3GP as a 15-year-old) with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, Victoria Royals, and then in his hometown of Moose Jaw. In 128 GP, Jones tallied 24 PTS (3G, 21A) and 146 PIM in the WHL.
Jones will join the team immediately and is expected to be in the lineup for the Bruins’ next preseason game in Yorkton on Saturday, Sept. 11th at 7:30pm.
