During the intermissions, voice of the Bruins Marty Martinson was joined by special guests, Travis Taylor (father of Jag Taylor) and Robert Wilson (father of Brady Wilson) to talk about their experiences coming out for the weekend.
Four different players scored for the Bruins – including Kent Moors (1G, 1A) and Steven Steranka (1G, 1A) in what was a down to the wire 5-4 OT finish in favour of the Klippers on the back of some late-game heroics by Kindersley’s green and blue.
Following the night’s action, the Bruins held their annual Calcutta Shootout Fundraiser, featuring each member of the team, as well as some special mystery shooters including Bruins’ alumni Kyle Stroh (who played for the Bruins from ’06-09), Estevan Police Chief Jamie Blunden, Bylaw Officer Josie Palmer, and Bruno (the bear mascot).
Kahn Dhaliwal won this year’s Calcutta Shootout, with Owen Simmons taking second-place and Tej Dhaliwal rounding out the top-three.

The Bruins hit the ice for night two of their weekend series with the Klippers, this time flying out of the gates, rattling off three goals in the opening 7:36 of the first period, with Ewan Rennie striking twice and Brady Wilson adding an early insurance marker.
In the intermissions, the guests included Allie Whittingham (mother of Kaelen Whittingham) in the first, and Bart Holt (father of Chase Holt) in the second.
On the night, Rennie (2G, 1A), Steven Steranka (2G, 1A), Wilson (1G, 2A) and Kaelen Whittingham (2A) pitched in multi-point games, while Zach Shaughnessy made 26-saves to backstop the team to a 7-4 win.
The victory marked the first for Drew Kocur as Head Coach of the team.
Following the night’s action, the families and billets were invited to Global Golf for a post-game meal and activities to close out the weekend.
The Bruins would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all who made the weekend special, including:
