The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) announced their monthly award recipients this week encompassing games played in both September and October. And with a red hot finish to the month of October, Mark Rumsey of the Estevan Bruins was named as the ‘RBC Forward of the Month’ by the SJHL.

Rumsey leads the Bruins with 23 PTS in 15 GP this season, also leading the team in goals (11), assists (12), powerplay goals (5), game-winning goals (3) and penalty minutes (40). Rumsey put together two separate 6-game scoring streaks over those first 15 games, including the current 6-game streak he’s riding into November where Rumsey has totaled 14 PTS (6G, 8A) over that span.

Rumsey sits 3rd overall in SJHL scoring entering November with 23 points, just one point behind Humboldt’s Logan Kurki and Connor McGrath (24 points).
