Tesarowski Joins Guilderson At University Of Victoria

TESAROWSKI HAD 22 POINTS IN 37 GAMES WITH THE BRUINS’ IN 2017/18.

The University of Victoria Vikes hockey program has added another member of the black-and-gold to their roster for the upcoming B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League season.

Jake Tesarowski has committed to play for the Vikes following an eye-catching final season of Junior A hockey, culminating with a run to the Canalta Cup Final with the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins.

The 5-10″ defenceman from Regina played in 37 regular season games with the Bruins’ in his 20-year old season, tallying 5 goals and 22 points after arriving in Estevan at the beginning of November.

Tesarowski’s rights were acquired from the Melville Millionaires in a mid-season trade after the defenceman returned to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) after spending parts of two seasons with the Brookings Blizzards of the North American Hockey League (NAHL).

Before his junior career, Tesarowski starred with the Regina Pat Canadians AAA Midget hockey club. The Pat Canadians advanced all the way to the 2015 Telus Cup, winning a bronze medal and Tesarowski was named the tournament’s top defenceman with 2 goals and 10 points.

Tesarowski joins fellow Bruin alumni Hayden Guilderson at the University of Victoria. Guilderson committed to play for the Vikes on May 23rd after two seasons with the Estevan Bruins’ tallying 96 points in 116 regular season games.
