The Terriers won the first meet ups

The Estevan Bruins are still winless to start the 2022-2023 SJHL season after losing consecutive games to the Yorkton Terries on opening weekend.

After falling 3-2 at Affinity Place on Friday, the Bruins were beaten 5-4 on Saturday in a back-and-forth seesaw affair in Yorkton.

Trailing 4-1 entering the third period, the Bruins rallied to make the game close but ultimately fell one goal short. Jag Phangura, Kade Runke, Alex Von Sprecken, and Alex Blanchard scored for Estevan.

Aidan Knutson scored the game winner for Yorkton in the third period.

The Bruins will head to Nipawin this week for a pair of games with the Hawks beginning on Tuesday.
