Sasktel Goalie of the Week: Cam Hrdlicka, Estevan Bruins
The Estevan Bruins picked up 4 out of a possible 6 points this past week in 3 games in 3 nights and a big reason for that was the play in between the pipes of Cam Hrdlicka. The 19-year-old shutout the Humboldt Broncos not once, but twice. Earning a 6-0 win Thursday and a 5-0 win on Saturday. Hrdlicka currently leads the league in games played with 21 and minutes played with 1134. He is 12-7-0-0 on the year with a 2.80 GAA and a .918 SV % and is tied for the league lead in shutouts with 3.

Directwest Rookie of the Week: Logan Ziegler, Estevan Bruins
While Hrdlicka was rock solid in between the pipes, Logan Ziegler was all over the ice for the Bruins up front. This was highlighted by a strong outing Thursday against the Humboldt Broncos where Ziegler found the back of the net twice and added an assist. Defenceman of the Week: Alexsa Babic, Estevan Bruins
Through the first third of the SJHL season, the Estevan Bruins have got plenty of contributions from their blue line and this past week Alexsa Babic played a big part in the team earning a pair of wins against one of the top teams in the SJHL. Not only did he play a major part in shutting down the Broncos high octane offence, but he contributed offensively with 3 assists in Thursday’s 6-0 win over Humboldt. The 20-year-old then added a goal in the 5-0 win on Saturday. Following the strong week, Babic now has 3 goals and 13 assists on the season.
