Register Today For Revitalized ‘Bruins Kids Summer Camp’!

Register for the 2020 Estevan Bruins Skill Development Camp, sponsored by Power Dodge!

The Bruins have revitalized our annual ‘Kids Summer Camp’ spearheaded by new Head Coach/GM Jason Tatarnic and Assistant Coach Phil Fife, who will both be on the ice for all sessions. Trainer & Strength Coach Dylan Lafrentz will teach and train the players with our Dryland activities on the walking track, and assist with the planning in the fun Gymnasium sessions in the multi-purpose room.

A number of returning Estevan Bruins players will also be on hand to lead the classroom seminar sessions, where youngsters will learn terminology, strategy, drills, and the rules of the game. Bruins will also lead the gymnasium sessions and assist with tying skates and getting the kids ready to go on and come off the ice.

Parents are asked to provide their child with a lunch or cash for the concession at Affinity Place. Each child will also receive a free Camp Jersey, sponsored by Power Dodge. Please provide the size for your child’s jersey when registering and they will receive it before their first on-ice session. Each player must have their own water bottle and no sticks can be shared.

To comply with the provincial health orders and memo regarding Indoor Arenas from SaskHockey, parents are asked to arrive no sooner than 15 minutes before their child’s first activity. Arrival times for each age group have been staggered to avoid clustering at the entrance. At the end of the day, players and parents must depart Affinity Place no later than 15 minutes after their last activity.

Each age group will be assigned multiple dressing rooms that will be marked off into “stalls” to safely physically distance when getting dressed/coming off the ice. Estevan Bruin players can help tie skates and get the kids dressed, but if additional help is needed from a parent then exceptions can be made if notified ahead of time. Players can keep their equipment in their “stall” throughout the day, but must take it home at the end of each day so the rooms can be thoroughly cleaned by the City of Estevan staff.

We will provide updates to all camp participants if any of the current regulations change before camp begins on August 17th. Below are the two links used in guiding the safety of all participants at the 2020 Bruins Skill Development Camp:
