Robbie Stewart join the Bruins via Trade

The Estevan Bruins have acquired defensemen Robbie Stewart from the Ottawa Jr. “A” Senators in exchange for  a player development fee.

The 6’3 defensemen recorded 3 goals and 12 assists in 51 games including 60 minutes in penalties.  Stewart contributed 2 assists in 11 games and helped the Ottawa Jr. Senators capture the League Championship the Bogart Cup.  Coach Tatarnic had this to say about Stewart, “Robbie is a big mobile defensemen who sees the ice very well.  He understands the game very well and plays a very calm game.  I think he has more to give on the offensive side of the game and we will give him that opportunity.  Robbie won a championship last season so he knows what it takes to win and you can never add enough championship experience to your dressing room.  We are really excited to be adding Robbie to our backend and to the community of Estevan”

Stewart had this to say about joining the Bruins “I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the Bruins. I can’t wait to be part of Estevan and have the chance to play for a such a great community.  I’m counting the days until the season starts
