Bruins Add McMillan and Wright to Their Roster

The Estevan Bruins have added local product Turner McMillen will be returning to Affinity Place where he played his minor hockey including six games for the Estevan Bears before moving on to the Western Hockey League for the Kelowna Rockets.  McMillen recorded 24 goals and 44 assists in 156 games.  “Turner is a player that can contribute offensively for us, and he is player that competes very hard.  We feel with the addition of Turner we have strengthen our team and we look forward to having Turner in the line-up tonight” commented coach Tatarnic.

Ben Wright will be making his debut with the Bruins tonight.  The 6’4 forward joins the Bruins from the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League.  Wright recorded 1 goal and 2 assists in 60 games.  “We’ve added a young player that brings some size to our line-up, and we know Ben will continue to grow as a player and we are really excited to have him here” commented coach Tatarnic.

The Estevan Bruins are currently 3-3-0-1 this season and will be welcoming the Flin Flon Bombers tonight.  The Bombers are 7-0-1-0 so far and sit in first place overall in the SJHL standings.  The Bruins will be looking for consistent effort for the full 60 minutes tonight as they face the Bombers.  “We need to play smart hockey for the entire game and it’s something we are working on and tonight we will be a good test” added Tatarnic   McMillen and Wright are expected to be in the line-up tonight.  Earlier in the week the Bruins traded twenty-year-old Garett Zasitko to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines for future considerations.  The Bruins will be making more roster moves in the coming days.
