Bruins Honour Longtime Supporter Ross Leblanc

The Estevan Bruins held a pregame ceremony prior to Saturday night’s game vs the Flin Flon Bombers to recognize and honour the memory of Ross Leblanc.

Ross passed away in August 2022 at the age of 86 but lived a life that created a long-lasting impact on the community of Estevan both in the past and for years to come. As a part of that legacy, Ross was an avid supporter of the Estevan Bruins for over 65 years.

Ross was a season ticket holder since the Bruins’ inaugural season in 1957 and attended almost all home games up to and including the Centennial Cup tournament held in May 2022. His support went further as Ross contributed to fundraisers consistently. Most notably, Ross purchased the very first bus for the Estevan Bruins.

The family of Ross Leblanc was on hand on Saturday for the ceremony, where flowers were presented and a memorial message was read.

The Estevan Bruins organization are sincerely grateful for the decades of passionate support from Ross Leblanc, and his presence watching home games is missed from the team and his fellow season ticket holders.
