Penalties and a lack of scoring depth continue to plague the Estevan Bruins, who were beaten 7-2 Tuesday night by the Battlefords North Stars.
Estevan opened the scoring in the first period when forward Cody Davis fired home a rebound, but the Bruins then gave up five consecutive goals.
The Bruins were outshot 47-40. Goaltender Cam Hrdlicka was pulled in the second period in favour of Jackson Miller.
The Stars, who are ranked number one in the latest CJHL rankings, remain undefeated in regulation at 14-0-0-1.
Estevan falls to 8-10.
The Bruins will be in Kindersley Wednesday night to take on the Klippers.
