First Home Game of The Year Marks A Win

The Estevan Bruins played their first home game of the year on Saturday, Januray 22nd at Affinity Place against the Kindersley Klippers.

The first period took out in the Bruins favour with two goals scored by Kade Runke at 3:30 followed by Erik Houk a minute later at 4:40.  Throughout the first period west a few penalties from the Kindersley team, but we ended in a 3-1 head start.

In the Second period we watched as the Klippers  scored twice, leaving the game tied. After the second intermission the Bruins returned to the ice fired up and were determined to take the win.

At the 6:10 mark of the third period Mikel Sartor snuck one in shortly followed  by Eric Houk at 9:44.
Mitch Kohner assisted the last goal of the game, which marks his first point for the season with the Bruins, as he recently joined us a few days ago.

The Bruins with won with an overall 5-3.

Our next home games will be the rescheduled games from earlier this month.

January 26th at 7pm vs Weyburn Redwings

January 27th at 7 pm vs Yorkton Terriers
