Estevan Bruins’ Head Coach and General Manager Jason Tatarnic appeared on The Rod Pedersen Show, a daily morning sports talk show based out of Regina, to discuss the current state of the SJHL’s Return-to-Play discussions with the Saskatchewan Government.
Tatarnic, along with fellow SJHL coaches Doug Johnson (Nipawin), Mike Reagan (Flin Flon) and Scott Barney (Humboldt), currently sits on a small task-force representing the league in discussions with the SK Government in hopes of returning hockey to the 12 SJHL communities to finish off the 2020-21 season.
Tatarnic joined the show on Thursday, January 28th to discuss things at both the SJHL level and at the Junior level country-wide. At this time, no decision has been made on the future of the 2020-21 SJHL season as the league has postponed play since November 27th, 2020 due to the rise in cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan.
