Estevan Bruins star forward Mark Rumsey has arrived in the 2021-2022 SJHL playoffs.
Rumsey was a force in game 2 of his team’s first round series, scoring twice, setting up another, and dropping the gloves with Notre Dame forward Kevin Anderson, pounding away at the Hounds captain to the delight of a packed house at Affinity Place Saturday night.
The Bruins beat the Hounds 4-1 to even their best of 7-series at 1-1.
Eric Pearce and Kade Runke also scored for Estevan. Elliot Dutil replied for Notre Dame.
The Bruins only gave up 14 shots, just one night removed from a marathon double overtime loss in game 1.
Game 3 goes Tuesday night in Wilcox, Sask.
